The DAV Public School in Hisar organized a voluntary activity under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, while following the government's directives. In this activity, students volunteered in the presence of teachers. They conducted a cleanliness campaign within the school premises and cleaned the nearby area, emphasizing the importance of labor to everyone passing by under the event of 1st October 2023 "Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta".

The area covered by the students included garbage vulnerable points, roadsides, under bridges, and areas surrounding school.

Mahatma Gandhi's belief that God resides in cleanliness was demonstrated by the students through their actions, teaching people a new lesson.

The main objective of this activity was not only to participate in the cleanliness campaign but also to instill values such as love for the environment, dedication to nature, and moral values like respect for the environment. Inspired by the School's Principal, Dr. Indu Sharma, the students actively participated in this activity. When a student cleans with their own hands, they develop a sense of gratitude towards the sanitation workers. Moreover, they don't perceive any task as small or big. By viewing every task with respect, they are liberated from the hesitation to perform any task.
